Qualifying to the fore at the U.S. Open and on tour

The U.S. Open and two more tour events spend the day in qualifying.

Today's tour-level tennis is all qualifying. The U.S. Open men's and women's qualifying continues in New York, with the Winston-Salem Open and the Abierto GNP Seguros in Monterrey playing their qualifying rounds as well. None of the main draws has begun.

New York is the day's focus, with both U.S. Open draws in action across the afternoon. The evening shifts towards Monterrey, where the WTA event's qualifying runs late. Winston-Salem offers a smaller card in between.

In the United States, U.S. Open qualifying is carried by ESPN and the ESPN app, while the Tennis Channel covers Winston-Salem and Monterrey. In the UK, Sky Sports Tennis has the tour-level action. Coverage in other regions follows the rights listed on each event.
